Meet Arsalan Sajjad

I am a third-year Mechanical Engineering (Co-op) student at the University of Guelph with a passion for mechanical design, manufacturing, and product development. I enjoy taking on challenging projects that allow me to transform ideas into functional designs while continuously expanding my technical skills.
I have experience with industry-standard engineering software including SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Rhino, CATIA V5, and MATLAB, and hold the SOLIDWORKS Certified Associate (CSWA) certification. My hands-on manufacturing experience includes 3D printing, sand casting, welding, lathe operation, milling, and drill press operations.
In addition to mechanical design, I have experience with C++, Java, HTML, Arduino programming, and embedded systems. Whether I’m developing CAD models, reverse engineering complex mechanisms, or building autonomous systems, I approach every project with curiosity, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
“The expert in anything was once a beginner who refused to give up.” – Helen Hayes
My goal is to contribute to innovative engineering and manufacturing projects while growing into a well-rounded engineer capable of turning ideas into reality.
